Kindergarten 28 Aug. 2020

The Unicorn room children started in unit time to express themselves with their first letter of their name. They colored the letters very nicely. They also started to make "me-dolls' out of moosgummi and paper.

The Butterfly class students experimented with creating using different types of media. They worked together to draw giant murals on paper, painted with watercolors, and built with blocks.

The new Pre-Kindergarten class of 2020/21 at present has 6 lively, bright and curious children! Daiyo,  Eimi,  Emma, Hiyori, KhaiMinh and Sara are settling well into their classroom and are eagerly exploring their surroundings and their unit subjects !

The children already created their first pieces of art using colourful triangles and were practicing their fine motor skills. 

Together with with their teachers Anita and Derek, they seem ready to go on new discoveries and they look like making a good team in this school year!

The children in Kindergarten enjoyed the first 2 days. The Unicorn children were brilliant and enjoyed the morning circle. Haruto Hosoda, our new student, played nicely with the toys and already made good connections with his peers. 

The Butterfly children had fun playing musical instruments. They were also very keen to explore their personal art materials, and started creating some artwork of their own. There's no doubt they will enjoy our first unit of the year, "how we express ourselves," which will focus on the art.

Dear parents of the Pre-Kindergarten @ DSKI class of 2020/21,

A heartfelt welcome to the new parents and welcome back to our parents who have been with our school.

I hope you all had a relaxing summer with your families.

I am so excited to be the children's Pre-Kindergarten teacher this year and I am looking forward to a fun school year with many new discoveries.

The children will have plenty of opportunities to grow, learn, challenge themselves and make good friends in a caring and safe environment.
